Here are your weekly reminders from the KME PTO!!

Movie Knight

Our first Movie Knight of the year is this Friday! Please be sure to turn in your completed registration form for this event by Wednesday, October 23. You can find the registration form along with more details about the event on our blog under "Events/Fundraisers".

Papa John's Pizza Night

Is tonight!!! Feel free to contact Papa John's in Maineville for some yummy pizza tonight and KME will earn funds for our programs!!

Box Tops

The deadline to turn in Box Tops is Monday, October 28. Check out the bulletin board along the main hallway to see what class is in the lead for winning the mini-carnival!!

National Principal's Month

The month of October marks the National Principal's Month. Mrs. Phillips is an outstanding principal who works so hard to make KME the Place to Be! So, please let her know what a wonderful job she is doing this month (and every month!)

Fall Parties

Our annual fall classroom parties will be held on Friday, October 25 from 2:30 pm to 3:15 pm. An advanced thank you to all of our volunteers who are going to make these parties fun for the children! Please keep in mind that many of our children at KME have food allergies so please work with the teacher to ensure that any treats are safe and healthy for all.

Veteran's Day Parade

As our way to honor all veterans, the PTO sponsors a Veteran's Day Breakfast and Parade. This event will take place on Monday, November 11 at 8:30 am. We welcome all veterans and current service people to join us for this special ceremony. Registration forms will be coming home with your students so please complete this and return it so that we can acknowledge these special people.

Movie Knight

Our first Movie Knight is coming up on Friday, October 25 starting at 6:15 pm! We will be screening "Hotel Transylvania" in the cafeteria. There is a charge of $5 per student and this includes a piece of pizza, popcorn and a drink. Each child is required to have an adult chaperon -- there is not an additional charge for family members to attend the movie but you can pay $10 to receive a piece of pizza, popcorn and a drink for a family of 4. Also, there will be a bake sale and additional concessions for sale.

To keep with our Halloween theme, your child may wear their Halloween costume (this is not required). The registration form (due by Wednesday 10/23) has been sent home plus you can locate this form on our blog under "Events/Fundraisers".

Box Top Collections -- Through October 28

Keep sending in those Box Tops!! Our number keeps growing and check out the PTO bulletin board this week to see who's class is in the lead! Please send in your Box Tops through October 28 so that your child's classroom can be the potential winner of a mini-carnival and your teacher can win a $25 gift card!!

Mileage Club

Our fall Mileage Club session continues to "move" during recess on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. All students can participate and have the chance to earn fun tokens and perhaps win a bike! Please remember to have your children wear appropriate shoes on these days. If you are interested in helping with Mileage Club, please contact Kim Renzenbrink at skrenz@msn.com.

Fall Parties

Our annual fall classroom parties will be held on Friday, October 25 from 2:30 pm to 3:15 pm. You will be contacted by your child's classroom parent with more information regarding the parties, including ways that you can assist. Please keep in mind that many of our KME students have food allergies so please work with the teacher to ensure that any treats are healthy and safe for all.

Pink on Wednesday 

Wear "pink" on Wednesday, October 16 to support Mrs. Strosnider, a KME teacher who will be participating in a three-day, sixty mile walk that will raise funds to find a cure for breast cancer. Let's show our support!!

Walk-A-Thon Update

Again, thank you to everyone who made this event a success!! We were able to raise over $11,000 -- all of this funding will go to providing programs and activities for our students!! As an additional reward for our hard work, Skatetown USA is sponsoring a skating event TONIGHT from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm. All KME students and their families receive FREE admission to the event (skate rentals, food and drinks are available for an additional cost). Please join us tonight at Skatetown USA in West Chester!!

Box Top Collection

Keep on sending in your Box Tops!! We currently have over 1,806 collected with Mrs. Burgdorf's class leading. Please send in your Box Tops through October 28 so that your child's classroom can be the potential winner of a mini-carnival and your teacher can win a $25 gift card!! Just send the neatly-trimmed labels in either glued to a collection sheet or in a ziploc bag with your child's name and teacher's name before the deadline!!
